# Affiliate terms

> Affiliates earn a commission on the first purchase of each trader they refer, attributed by referral code or link. Promotion must be honest: no invented results, no brand bidding, no spam, no self-referral. Commissions are paid monthly above a minimum. StarTrading can end the program or an affiliation with notice, and immediately for a breach.

## 1\. The program

The affiliate program lets you earn a commission by referring new traders to StarTrading. These terms complete the [terms of service](https://startrading.io/legal/terms), which apply to you as an affiliate. By requesting an affiliate code you accept both.

## 2\. Joining

Any adult with a StarTrading account can request an affiliate code from the dashboard. We may decline or revoke a code without giving a reason, in particular for a site or channel that does not meet section 5. Employees and contractors of StarTrading cannot be affiliates.

## 3\. Attribution

A trader is attributed to you when they create their account through your link, or enter your code at their first checkout, and had no prior account. Attribution is decided at the first purchase and never changes afterwards: one trader, one affiliate, for life. If two codes are involved, the code entered at checkout wins over the link. A referral link stays attributed for 30 days after the click.

Self-referral, referral of a household member, or referral of an existing trader under a new email is not attributed and is a breach of these terms.

## 4\. Commission

You earn 10 % of the net price paid (after promo code, before tax and payment fees) on the **first purchase** of each attributed trader. Resets, later purchases, option surcharges and subscriptions do not earn a commission. A refunded or charged-back purchase cancels its commission; if it was already paid, it is deducted from the next payment.

We may offer a promo code linked to your affiliation. Its discount is set by StarTrading and cannot be combined with another code.

## 5\. Promotion rules

You may present StarTrading with the figures published on this site and nothing else. You may not:

-   invent or exaggerate results, pass rates or payouts, or present simulated results as real trading;
-   promise or imply that a payout is guaranteed;
-   bid on the StarTrading brand or misspellings of it in search advertising, or use the brand in a domain name, a social handle or an app name;
-   send unsolicited messages, post in places that forbid promotion, or use bots, fake reviews or incentives to click;
-   present yourself as StarTrading or as its employee, or use our logo outside the assets we provide;
-   promote to people under 18 or in countries where the service is not offered.

We may ask you to change or remove a publication; you have 48 hours to comply.

## 6\. Payment

Commissions are calculated at the end of each month and paid by the 15th of the following month for balances above $100, by the method chosen in the dashboard. A commission is paid only after the referred purchase is 14 days old and not refunded. You are responsible for your taxes on commissions and for providing the information we need to pay you.

## 7\. Term and termination

Either party may end the affiliation at any time from the dashboard or by email. We may end it immediately for a breach of section 5 or of the [terms of service](https://startrading.io/legal/terms); in that case, unpaid commissions are forfeited. Otherwise, commissions earned before termination are paid on the normal schedule.

## 8\. Changes

We may change the commission rate, the attribution window and these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. A change applies to purchases made after that date.
